47 Rogue archers take on the 2026 Indoor Nationals: A weekend of medals, PBs and personal growth

Last weekend, 47 Rogue Archery squad members competed at the 2026 Archery Australia Indoor Nationals, taking on one of the biggest events on the Australian archery calendar.


The Rogue squad came away with an incredible 19 national medals and 17 state medals, while 42 of our 47 archers recorded personal bests across the weekend.


Last year, 35 Rogue Archery squad members competed at the Indoor Nationals. To field a squad of 47 archers this year, along with 15 teams, is a fantastic reflection of the continued growth of the Rogue program and the outstanding work our coaching team has put into preparing the squad.


For many of our squad members, this was also their first time competing at a national event. Stepping onto the national stage is a significant experience for any archer, and we are incredibly proud of everyone who competed.


A Weekend Full of Achievements

The results across the squad were outstanding, with athletes achieving medals, personal bests and valuable competition experience across every division.


Under 14 Female Recurve

  • Maanya Balusu – Gold: Maanya took first place and recorded two personal bests, scoring 400 for the 60-arrow round and 214 for the 30-arrow round.


  • Lottie Manewell – Silver: Lottie finished second and also recorded two PBs, with 412 for 60 arrows and 216 for 30 arrows.


  • Stella Lu – Bronze: Stella completed the podium in third place and recorded a PB of 370 for the 60-arrow round.



Under 16 Male Recurve

  • Jeremy Gray – Gold: Jeremy had an outstanding weekend, finishing first in his state division while also claiming Silver individually nationally, Gold nationally in the teams event and Bronze in the RGB teams event. He also recorded PBs of 543 for the 60-arrow round and 278 for the 30-arrow round.


Under 18 Female Recurve

  • Haleemah Stevens – Gold: Haleemah claimed first place in the state division and had an exceptional national performance, taking Silver individually and Gold in the national teams event. She recorded PBs of 556 for 60 arrows and 281 for 30 arrows.


  • Elizabeth Macgregor – Silver: Elizabeth finished second and claimed Bronze individually and Bronze in the national teams event, while recording PBs of 542 for 60 arrows and 274 for 30 arrows.


  • Gabby Bielen – Bronze: Gabby finished third and was also part of the Bronze national teams result, recording PBs of 526 for 60 arrows and 266 for 30 arrows.


  • Bonita Clark – 6th: Bonita recorded PBs of 430 for 60 arrows and 244 for 30 arrows.


  • Zoe Cadman – 7th: Zoe recorded PBs of 450 for 60 arrows and 243 for 30 arrows.


  • Astrid Thomson – 8th: Astrid recorded 60-arrow PBs of 368 and 402, as well as a 210 PB for 30 arrows.


  • Niah Lawson – 9th: Niah recorded a PB of 220 for 30 arrows.



Under 18 Male Recurve

  • Paco Ng – Gold: Paco took first place and claimed Silver individually nationally and Gold in the national teams event.


Under 21 Male Recurve

  • Cayden Parfitt – Gold: Cayden finished first and also claimed Bronze in the national teams event, recording a PB of 511 for 60 arrows.


  • Blake McNamara – BronzeBlake finished third in the division.




Open Female Recurve

  • An Seoyoon – Gold: Seoyoon delivered one of the standout performances of the weekend, taking first place and becoming Gold nationally as an individual and Silver nationally in the teams event. She recorded 60-arrow scores of 579 and 586, along with a PB of 296 for 30 arrows.


  • Bec Chokly – 4th


  • Bianca Renshaw – 5th: Bianca recorded a PB of 519 for 60 arrows.


  • Gemma Thomson – 6th: Gemma recorded PBs of 511 and 490 for 60 arrows, as well as 258 for 30 arrows.


  • Maddie Ashton – 7th: Maddie recorded a PB of 503 for 60 arrows.


  • Kyniska Hoy – 8th: Kyniska recorded a PB of 492 for 60 arrows.


  • Shian Miller – 9th: Shian recorded a PB of 492 for 60 arrows and 248 for 30 arrows.


  • Liz Zanetti – 10th: Liz recorded a PB of 482 for 60 arrows.


  • Sophie Jones – 11th: Sophie recorded a PB of 483 for 60 arrows and 243 for 30 arrows.


  • Kiara Savage – 12th: Kiara recorded PBs of 422 for 60 arrows and 245 for 30 arrows.


  • Unurtsetseg Gantulga – 13th: Unurtsetseg recorded a PB of 424 for 60 arrows.


  • Oi Yan Tam – 16th: Oi Yan recorded 60-arrow PBs of 367 and 448, as well as 238 for 30 arrows.


  • Hannah Smock – 17th: Hannah recorded a PB of 344 for 60 arrows.


  • Sophie Blatcher – 18th


  • Rhiana Barrington – 19th: Rhiana recorded a PB of 292 for 60 arrows.



Open Male Recurve

  • Sun Hyuk Kim – Silver: Sun Hyuk finished second and claimed Silver in the national teams event. He recorded PBs of 574 and 558 for 60 arrows, along with 290 for 30 arrows

    .

  • Beau Brodie – Bronze: Beau finished third and recorded PBs of 555 for 60 arrows and 280 for 30 arrows.



  • Will Meagher – 4th: Will also claimed silver in the national teams event, recording PBs of 544 and 556 for 60 arrows and 279 for 30 arrows.


  • Jarryd Greitschus – 7th


  • Karl Walker – 10th: Karl recorded PBs of 491 and 508 for 60 arrows and 258 for 30 arrows.


  • Raamon Vaccaro – 11th: Raamon recorded PBs of 512 for 60 arrows and 263 for 30 arrows.


  • Daniel Wilson – 12th: Daniel recorded PBs of 480 for 60 arrows and 263 for 30 arrows.


  • Lewis Tabone – 13th: Lewis recorded PBs of 446 and 468 for 60 arrows and 238 for 30 arrows.


  • Josiah Gibbs – 14th: Josiah recorded a PB of 446 for 60 arrows.


  • Nicholas Cullen – 17th: Nicholas recorded PBs of 421 for 60 arrows and 227 for 30 arrows.


  • Ki Leong Wong – 19th: Ki Leong recorded a PB of 388 for 60 arrows.



50+ Female Recurve

  • Lauren Hoopert – Gold: Lauren finished first and claimed Bronze nationally, as well as Bronze in the national teams event. She recorded a PB of 509 for 60 arrows.


  • Samantha Norman – Silver: Samantha finished second and was also part of the Bronze national teams result, recording PBs of 478 for 60 arrows and 257 for 30 arrows.


  • Rita Buteeva – 5th: Rita recorded PBs of 410 and 435 for 60 arrows.



50+ Male Recurve

  • Conor Croke – Silver: Conor finished second and recorded PBs of 498 and 490 for 60 arrows, as well as 251 for 30 arrows.


  • Barry Aulfrey – 6th: Barry was part of the Bronze national teams result and recorded a PB of 595 for 60 arrows and 248 for 30 arrows.


  • Craig Lawson – 8th: Craig recorded PBs of 389 and 437 for 60 arrows and 225 for 30 arrows.


  • Simon Parfitt – 10th: Simon recorded a PB of 414 for 60 arrows.




More Than Medals

While the medal tally and 42 personal bests are certainly something to celebrate, the Indoor Nationals were about much more than the results.


For many of our squad members, this was their first experience competing at a national event. That meant learning how to manage the pressure, adapt to the environment, stay focused and trust the preparation that had been put in over the preceding months.

There were countless moments of teamwork, sportsmanship, lessons learned, overcoming adversity and personal growth throughout the event and the preparation leading into it.


These are the moments that make competition so valuable. Every archer leaves an event with something to build on, whether that is a new PB, a medal, a lesson from a difficult end, or simply the experience of standing on the national stage for the first time.

From a coaching perspective, it is an incredibly proud moment to see so many talented archers dedicate themselves to their goals and then see that work come together at the Indoor Nationals.


Growing from 35 Rogue squad members last year to 47 this year, while fielding 15 teams, shows the depth and development of the squad. It is a reflection of the commitment from our archers, coaches and everyone supporting the program.


Looking Towards October

With the Indoor Nationals now behind us, the focus will begin to shift towards the Target Nationals in October.


The experience gained this weekend will become another part of the preparation as our archers continue to work towards their next goals.


To all 47 Rogueys who competed—congratulations. Whether you came home with a medal, a personal best, a new experience or an important lesson, you should be incredibly proud of what you achieved.


And finally, a very special thank you to MPB, SQAS, the judges and all of the volunteers who helped run the event so smoothly. Your work behind the scenes makes opportunities like this possible for our athletes.

And we're only getting started.
