ABOUT
Jarryd is a professional archery coach with 20 years of experience as an athlete in recurve archery, having competed at state, national, and international level. Drawing from this background, he is passionate about developing pathways into the sport and supporting archers to fulfil their full potential.
Jarryd transitioned from a Principal-level Engineering Design Consultant to full-time archery coach, founding the successful coaching academy, Rogue Archery.
He specialises in creating structured pathways for archers to progress from beginner to intermediate to competitive to advanced and elite levels. Jarryd’s coaching philosophy centres on building strong technique fundamentals, then progressively developing skill acquisition, physical conditioning, and mindset across each phase of athletic development.
Through this method, Jarryd has had outstanding success, and coached numerous athletes to national podiums, state and national records and international representation.

Jarryd has a broad spectrum of experience in developing and running structured archery curriculums from all levels, including:
Rogue Archery has a ‘Beginner Archery League’, which introduces archers to target archery, and teaches a structured curriculum, where students achieve key competencies in safety, technique, equipment and scoring. Through these programs, Jarryd has extensive experience with instructing safety protocols, enforcing compliance, and coordinating archery programs for large groups of archers.
Jarryd runs the Rogue Archery Development Squad, which is structured to support archers pursuing competition at all levels. This includes structured group coaching sessions several times a week, and includes archers at various levels of development from intermediate to athletes shooting at a national representative level.
Jarryd provides specialist coaching for archers who require more advanced technical analysis or coaching interventions.
